Sane Refrain is copyright Rick Freeman Sane Refrain is a relaxing ballad that could be for meditation, or, pure enjoyment. The title reflects the idea of resisting something that maybe tempting, but realizing that it is not a healthy risk, and that it is best refrained from. A Refrain, also being the name of a section of a poem or song, in this case a wordless one. The title is a double entendre. I think many years ago, when I first conceived this piece, I felt that it was best not to pursue a certain relationship with a woman who to this day is a good friend, and hence the title Sane Refrain.
